Anniversary Card

This is the anniversary card I made my husband for our anniversary which is today. I am up posting in the wee hours of the morning, because I won't have time later to put it up. I used our wedding colors. Almost everything I used is retired, some like Forest Foliage for awhile now. I didn't use any challenges that I know of all from my poor tired brain.

What a deal

I'm thinking of offering some type of deal for the first month or so of having my Stampin' Up website. But I'm just not sure what to offer. I know everyone would want the discount which is okay with SU! if I only keep it for a short time. Or I'm thinking of a punch card for every $50 spent and after the card is full a $xx of free product. Maybe some really nice people will leave suggestions. I'm unsure right now, but I do want to grow my business, but not sure exactly how to right now. Anyone?

Loving this set

I didn't notice this stamp set when I first went through the caddy. How I missed it I don't know. I really like how the peacock looks in Bermuda Bay. I tried Taken with Teal and it was just too blue for me. I wanted to add the BB paper to the front, but didn't just want to plop it down. Another layer of texture would be too much for me, so I looked for something that was swirly, but not too much. I could have gone with the jumbo "Whimsy," but getting out the wheel and the guide and and and … was way too much trouble. I may have to make a second one to keep so I can actually send this to someone.

Just to let you know......the Mini Starter kit has just a few weeks left. If you'd like to join my team and become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for just $85, please let me know and I'd be happy to send you some info.

Had to use

I just loved this stamp set when I saw it first available in June, but I didn't buy it then. I kept thinking why would I need an animal set? I don't have small children, but finally I saw enough different cards that had used it that I capitulated and purchased it recently. I love elephants; after cats, they are my favorite animal. This was a card that I just played around with. It might be a bit busy, but I decided I liked it. I am really liking the new colors too. I wasn't sure at first, but I'm liking the bolder hues. I tried to stamp the elephant in Rich Razzleberry, but did not like how it was turning out. So out came the Basic Grey. I mean elephants are gray are they not?.

The cards inside the 3 x 3 box

These are the cards that I finally finished after my Girl Scout camping trip to Goosebery in the Fishlake National Forest.
This is the box and the green cards.

just the green cards

yellow cards (I really like the tag with the So Saffron sponged all of the back, but that's me.)

purple cards

envelopes—the green ones have liners

all the envelopes

the whole set without the box see the post here for the just the box

The first five were fast, but for some reason the last green one took me some creative time to come up with an idea. Look for a new siggy soon. I was ready to upload these cards when I remembered that the watermark has the family website on it instead of this new one, so I had to create a new watermark and then add it. No time for the new siggy too.

The new blog

This blog will be devoted to my crafting, stamping, and scrapbooking life. While there might be things that creep across to the family blog, this is where Stampin' Up and other stamping "things" will be.
