Super exciting news

I'm thrilled to share with you the news regarding the Stampin' Up! Color Renovation!!  

This is what I know—

30 colors are retiring but not to worry.....some of our past In Colors are returning. Did you miss last year's In Colors? I know I did. I love having so many of them return. Some of this year's In Colors are staying as well. I love Rich Razzleberry, so I'm pretty psyched that that color is staying.

Stampin' Up! has done a wonderful job introducing all the facts about the Color Renovation.  First I want to focus on the retiring colors.  I'm pretty sure they will only be available while supplies last.  So, if you have a favorite....you might want to order it soon.

I've created a page to show you which color is retiring in each color family. First is a screen shot and then a down-loadable .pdf.

Instead of talking about all the details of the five new colors or about which In colors are returning I want to share with you the excitement of what this means.  I've heard from so many of you about getting Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, River Rock....the list goes on.  I love all these colors.

Crumb Cake is a new name for Kraft, which means now we have ink and accessories for Kraft.

As I said above, I'm pretty excited for the change. I'm looking forward to the new colors. There will be new In Colors that will last two years instead of one. So, in the new catty will be five new In Colors and then in 2011 there will be five more new colors. This reminds me of Girl Scout cookies. Every year we get a new cookie that lasts for two years.

A few have asked me what colors will I miss the most.  I think I will miss Taken with Teal and Apricot Appeal the most. I'll have new favorites and stock up on these two for my personal use.

Sympathy Card

On the day school started (Aug. 27) a former student's, but current senior, mother had a heart attack and died. She was only 36 and 37 weeks pregnant. The medical staff was able to delivery her baby boy, but he only lived for three days. They were buried together with the boy in her arms. I know I am late on getting this card to my student, but my life has been extremely crazy lately. I know from experience that sympathy cards can never come at a wrong (or right) time.

I started with Monday Mojo 103, but decided it was too busy for what I wanted. I wanted a more clean and simple look. Before I glued everything down, I toyed with button, brads, ribbon, and a few other ideas and then discarded all of them.
